SCI worked in partnership with the University of Oregon Club Sports program to identify several teams that had experienced sub-optimal performance and acute conflict on their teams in recent seasons.
A team of SCI Process Consultants spent a 10-week period with three different sports teams with the focus on Assessment and Team Process Consultant. They used a range of diagnostic tools to gain a very detailed understanding of areas of need.
The Process Consultants provided feedback and recommendations to the team coaches and captains who worked with the consultants to implement a series of changes. There were a number of significant barriers, such as, misaligned goals, unclear team rules, poorly run team meetings, broken communication, etc.
All three teams experienced unprecedented success. One won their second-ever Club National Championship and the other two had their most successful seasons in over five years.
