Molly Gates joins SCI with a diverse background in both non-profit and corporate environments across international and domestic settings. Relying on her positive influential leadership style, creative problem solving, and productive partnership management, Molly has realized success across sectors.
Her career has focused on leveraging the power of sport for positive social change, ranging from management of Special Olympics programs to establishing an HIV/AIDS education soccer program in southern Africa. Most recently, Molly’s highly effective communication and team building skills were utilized in a corporate setting as she served as a Sustainability Manager.
A graduate of Indiana University, Molly received both a B.S. and M.S. in Kinesiology and Sport Management. After several years working in sport, she attended the University of Cape Town in South Africa to receive an MBA.
While at Indiana, Molly served as team captain for Women’s Water Polo and as a representative on the Student Athlete Advisory Council. In addition to being named an All-Conference Athlete, Molly was awarded the Big 10 Medal of Honor for excellence in both academics and athletics.
Molly continues her athletic endeavors as she enjoys biking and swimming, has run several marathons and completed two Ironman triathlons. With an optimistic spirit, Molly believes in pushing boundaries to discover each individual’s unique contribution on and off the field.
