There was concern by the founder that the camp was not fully addressing some of the cognitive and emotional skills in sports with it's camp design. SCI worked with the staff to understand the organizational mission statement and customize a set of observation tools to see how well that mission was implemented and to provide a tangible tool set for implementing that mission in parallel with game play and skill practice.

During timeouts and short breaks, SCI staff provided immediate access to the observation data to the coaching staff who then worked to refine their coaching styles and interactions with their athletes. There were a number of conflict incidents that had gone unnoticed by the coaching staff but were observed by SCI staff. This provided valuable feedback for the coaches and resulted in the fewest number of campers leaving camp or filing complaints in over six years.

SCI provided the organization with a summary report and the observation tools for future use.
