Jonathan Mills
Director of Assessment & Performance

Jonathan Mills is a mental performance consultant and clinical psychology doctoral student training to become a licensed psychologist with a focus on sport psychology and athlete mental health. He is passionate about assisting athletes in identifying their core values and collaborating on strategies to enhance performance. He takes a person-centered approach to working with athletes on their mental game to develop skills that are transferable to everyday life.

Currently pursuing his PhD at Seattle Pacific University, Jonathan is researching athletic identity and providing mindfulness workshops for student-athletes. He is also part of a research team investigating personality and character strengths in the context of anxiety and depressive disorders. Additionally, Jonathan works at clinical practicum sites where he conducts neuropsychology assessments and provides integrative cognitive-behavioral interventions.

Before embarking on his PhD journey, Jonathan earned his master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver and his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Business from the University of Oregon. He has six years of experience in business strategy and analytics, having worked with the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils in the NBA and NHL, respectively. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys playing and watching basketball.
